Leeds United are right in contention for promotion from the Championship, so perhaps should start thinking about targets should they go up.

After Leeds United’s massively important win over Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, it is fair to say that the Whites are back in with an excellent chance of securing a top six spot in the Championship after their recent blip.
Should they continue to close in on a play-off spot, Garry Monk would be forgiven for starting to consider potential targets that they could pursue should they secure promotion to the Premier League.
One area of the pitch where the Whites need additional depth – regardless of what division they are in – is in defence, more specifically, at centre-back and at left-back.
One player who ticks both boxes and is set to be available this summer is Stoke City defender Marc Muniesa (via The Sun), and Leeds would arguably be wise to consider targeting the Spaniard.

Muniesa has only made a handful of appearances this term, but has played over 50 times in the Premier League so clearly knows the division.
While it may ultimately have little impact on his current game, it must also be noted that he spent more than a decade with Barcelona having come through the ranks of their well-renowned academy La Masia.
And at 24 years of age, he still arguably has his best years ahead of him so could develop into a key man for Monk’s side if they managed to bring him to Elland Road.
With the long-term futures of Kyle Bartley and Charlie Taylor still up in the air for the Whites, targeting a player like Muniesa seems to be something of a no-brainer as he could be an excellent addition to the squad should they capitalise on yesterday’s result and ultimately secure promotion to the top flight.
