It is up to him whether he is set on staying in the Premier League, but Williams will turn 34 in August and he should look at John Terry’s Aston Villa success and consider the benefits of dropping down a level.
Leeds would be smart to make the Wales international captain a top priority as they search for a reliable partner for Pontus Jansson.
Signing a goalkeeper is also going to be a priority but adding another leader at the heart of their defence would transform a side which have been low on character through a terrible 2018.
