Leeds Live has claimed that the Championship side want to secure the services of Maddison, who is valued at £2.5m by The Posh, according to The Nottingham Post.

Marriott and Maddison were two of the best players in League One this past season, and while there would be an element of risk in signing them, Leeds should bring both of them, not just one or the other.

While Marriott, 23, was easily the best striker in League One this past season, scoring 27 league goals in the process, 24-year-old Maddison, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, provided as many as 18 assists in the division.

The two attacking players linked up with each other brilliantly and were a joy to watch, and for Leeds to get the best of the two players, they need to keep that partnership intact and not break it up.
