Swansea are reportedly keen on Rangers midfielder McCrorie.

Swansea City are reportedly interested in signing Rangers midfielder Ross McCrorie this month as the Gers academy product continues to shine under Steven Gerrard – but he would be perfect for Leeds United.
The Scottish Sun claim Swansea are after the 20-year-old midfielder who recently broke into the Gers starting line-up, and was crucial in the huge Old Firm derby victory over Celtic on December 29.
Swansea boss Graham Potter is said to be a huge fan of McCrorie, but the Rangers ace would be perfect for Championship leaders Leeds United this month because of his versatility.
Not only does McCrorie offer a composed, intelligent style of football at the base of a midfield, but he also offers cover at centre-back – which is where he first broke into the Rangers side under Pedro Caixinha.
Indeed, the Scotland Under-21 international was only given a chance in midfield by Graeme Murty during the second half of last season at the base of the Gers midfield, and he has thrived upon it since.
Leeds are struggling for cover in their hunt for promotion and a first return to the Premier League since 2014. Injuries and suspension have left the Whites struggling in both midfield and in central defence.

Liam Cooper and Gaetano Berardi are injured at centre-back, which has seen Leeds’ only recognised holding midfielder in Kalvin Phillips drop to the heart of the defence. Attacking midfielder Adam Forshaw has replaced Phillips.
But Forshaw struggled against Forest, while Phillips was sent off for a rash tackle that sees him banned for three games. Those two displays will have surely convinced Marcelo Bielsa to add a player that can add cover in both positions.
McCrorie is exactly that man. At 20 years of age, he fits the bill for Bielsa who prefers younger stars to elder players, while McCrorie’s calmness and passing ability would see him fit right at home in Leeds’ side. Perfect January signing.
