The talented Leeds loanee is impressing at Blackburn Rovers.

Leeds United loanee Marcus Antonsson has been thriving for Blackburn Rovers of late, with his strike in the 4-1 victory over Oxford United last night taking his tally to four goals in as many games.

Antonsson struggled to make much of an impact in his first season at Leeds as he scored just three times in all competitions following his switch from Swedish side Kalmar.

At Blackburn, however, the 26-year-old is playing with increased confidence, suggesting that Leeds should consider re-calling him in January.

Leeds have managed to score 26 goals in the Championship so far this season, but no member of their squad has found the net more than five times, while Antonsson has struck six league goals for Blackburn.

Youngster Jay-Roy Grot has been used exclusively as a substitute by Leeds this season and is evidently still adapting to English football as he has yet to score a goal for the club.

The temptation for manager Thomas Christiansen must surely be to loan out Grot, which would enable him to gain valuable experience elsewhere, and re-call Antonsson, who is capable of making an impact for Leeds immediately.
