Leeds could be active in the January transfer window.

The form of Leeds United left-back Gaetano Berardi has been questionable to say the least – it even saw the one-time Switzerland international admit that the Whites need to sign a better left-sided defender.
The 29-year-old has remained a mainstay in the side under Thomas Christiansen, with Cameron Borthwick-Jackson and Vurnon Anita continually overlooked to play on the left side of defence.
Signed during Massimo Cellino’s first season at the club, the former Sampdoria defender even captained Leeds last time out during the 1-0 loss to Birmingham City on Saturday afternoon.

With the January transfer window now upon us, Christiansen could be tempted to enter the market for a new left-back as he looks to give the Whites every chance of gaining promotion to the Premier League.
That should see his attention turn towards Middlesbrough full-back Fabio, as the Daily Mail claims the two-time Brazil international has asked to leave the Riverside Stadium.
New manager Tony Pulis has dropped the former Manchester United defender for the last two games since taking over in the north east, and it is believed that the 27-year-old has now asked to leave the club.

A regular under former Leeds boss Garry Monk, Fabio made 18 Championship appearances and impressed during those outings. Boasting attacking prowess as well as an aggressive style of play when defending, Fabio would be a huge improvement on Berardi.
Now in the final months of his contract, a cut-price deal could be secured in January in order to allow Boro to receive a fee for his services rather than see him leave for nothing in the summer.
Mirroring the kind of quality Berardi brings to the Leeds side when in form, Fabio would be a superb but cheap alternative for Christiansen to start on the left side of defence.
