Reported Leeds United target Gavin Whyte has joined Oxford United from Crusaders in the summer transfer window.

Leeds United have missed out on the signing Gavin Whyte, as the 22-year-old attacker has joined Oxford United from Crusaders.
As announced on Oxford’s official website today, the 22-year-old – who can operate as a winger or as a forward – has moved to the League One outfit on a three-year contract.
Back in May, The Belfast Telegraph reported of Leeds’s interest in the youngster, and claimed that the Championship club were poised to sign him.
However, it seems that the Whites did not pursue their initial interest, with the Northern Ireland Under-21 having now moved to Oxford.
Leeds, though, were wise not to make a move, as the 22-year-old was playing in the NIFL Premiership, which is not of a great standard.

Now that the 22-year-old is in England and will be playing in League One next season, the Whites should keep tabs on him.
The Northern Ireland Under-21 international is a very promising and talented young player, and Leeds would be wise to monitor his progress next season and perhaps even make a move in the January transfer window.
