Robert Huth was asked whether he would be interested in a move to Leeds United.

Huth is currently a free agent after leaving Leicester City at the end of last season, and it is probably a surprise that he has not been snapped up by another team yet with the transfer window now closed for a month.
The German is a Premier League winner and has a vast amount of experience. He may now be in the twilight of his career, but he could still arguably do a very good job for a number of clubs, especially as he would arrive on a free transfer.
And Leeds should certainly keep the defender on their radar after he hinted that he would be interested in joining Marcelo Bielsa’s side at some stage in the future.

Leeds’ defence has arguably been one of their major success stories this term. Last year, the Whites looked vulnerable almost every time the opposition took the ball over the halfway line. But it has been a completely different story this season.
The current back five have looked significantly better, while Gaetano Berardi – who has missed the last few weeks due to injury – has also looked transformed since Bielsa came to the club.
Nevertheless, if there was one concern about Leeds’ defence, it would probably be the depth that they boast. Players such as Luke Ayling and Conor Shaughnessy can fill in at centre-back if required, but neither has performed particularly well when deployed in the middle this season.

With that in mind, a move for Huth seems to make a lot of sense for Leeds at this stage. It would unquestionably address any concerns about the depth and see Leeds recruit another leader that can make an impact as they look to secure promotion out of the Championship.
It is unclear whether Leeds have any interest in looking at Huth. But given that he has seemingly hinted that he would be keen to head to Elland Road if the chance presented itself, the Whites should undoubtedly keep the defender in mind over the coming weeks.
