The versatile player has returned to Leeds United following a frustrating loan spell.
Ouasim Bouy’s loan spell at Cultural Leonesa certainly didn’t go to plan, with the versatile Leeds United player finding his playing time severely restricted at his temporary club.
Bouy, who joined Leeds last summer in a surprise switch, made just four appearances in total for the Spanish second division club and is now back with his parent side.
While the temptation may well be for Leeds to send Bouy out on loan again, it may be more beneficial for the 24-year-old to remain with the Championship club so that he can be properly assessed by Thomas Christiansen and his coaching staff.
Capable of playing as a defensive midfielder or at centre-back, Bouy was previously on Juventus’ books but made just one league appearance for the club and was sent out on loan for several occasions.
If he was to head out on loan again then Bouy could find himself in another situation where he isn’t playing regularly.
However, should he remain at Leeds then Bouy will have the opportunity to impress Christiansen and adapt to Leeds’ style of play in case he is needed at some stage in the remainder of the campaign.
