The youngster has been unable to make an impact for Leeds this season.

It is clear that Jay-Roy Grot has struggled to make the desired impact since joining Leeds United from NEC Nijmegen last summer.
The forward has yet to score and has provided just one assist in 16 appearances across all competitions, while many of his overall performances have been underwhelming.
Leeds aren’t able to loan out Grot as he has already played for themselves and NEC this season, with rules preventing players from representing three clubs in a single campaign.

However, Leeds should take steps to reduce Grot’s involvement in the first-team if they are able to bring in another attacking option this month.
Grot, who can play as a winger or up front, is only 19 and has time on his side to develop, but it is evident that he isn’t ready to cope with the demands of the Championship at present.

Therefore, the youngster should instead be part of Leeds’ U23 side, where he can play regularly and hopefully make a significant impact, which would give him confidence to take onto the senior stage.
At present there is little that Grot can offer Leeds and he has seemed out of his depth at times but a run of games in the U23s could be just what he needs to get on track.
