Sheffield United are reportedly willing to sell Mark Duffy this summer, and that should encourage Leeds United to make a move.

Having done all of their business so far in a short space of time at the start of the month, Leeds appear to have every intention of enjoying a quiet end to the transfer window with Marcelo Bielsa sticking by the vast majority of the squad that he already has at his disposal.
Some of the Elland Road faithful are concerned about a few positions heading into the new season. But it seems that the Whites are not planning to spring many surprises unless the right player comes along in the final weeks before the deadline.
However, perhaps one player who could be a fantastic addition to Bielsa’s squad has just come on the market, with the Daily Mail reporting this week that Sheffield United are prepared to sell Mark Duffy this summer with no plans to extend the 33-year-old’s contract.
Duffy may be entering the latter stages of his career, but he was extremely impressive as the Blades sealed promotion last term. He scored six goals and provided six assists in 36 games in the league.

The majority of those appearances came in a central attacking midfield role, but he is also capable of playing on either wing, or sitting slightly deeper in the middle of the park.
Bielsa has previously spoken of his admiration for the brand of football that Chris Wilder has his side play, and Duffy was often a key part of the plans, contributing nine assists during the club’s first year back in the second tier.
Leeds should enquire about the former Liverpool trainee. If he is available for a low fee, the Whites should seriously consider taking a gamble on a move in the hope that he can follow in Pablo Hernandez’s footsteps and enjoy a brilliant spell at Elland Road as he reaches the twilight of his playing days.
