Leeds United now have goalkeeper issues to address during the January transfer window.

With Jamal Blackman’s loan now over, Leeds need to prioritise signing a new goalkeeper during the January transfer window.
Bailey Peacock-Farrell has performed well this term, but some fans have their doubts about his current ability. And after making his debut at the weekend, Will Huffer is the only other goalkeeper in the Whites’ squad to have made a senior appearance for the club.
With Peacock-Farrell’s form proving to be mixed, it is difficult to predict what path Marcelo Bielsa will head down in January. He may want a new number one or retain enough faith in Peacock-Farrell to target an understudy on loan before reassessing in the summer.
The winter window is not an easy one to do substantial deals and clubs are generally looking at players who have largely been discarded by their current sides.
So Bielsa should consider using his connection with Mauricio Pochettino to try and get a deal done for Michel Vorm.

The 35-year-old is down the pecking order at Tottenham currently, so it is not difficult to envisage Spurs allowing the Netherlands international to leave in some capacity in January.
As reported by ESPN, Vorm’s deal expires in the summer. That may make a loan deal less likely, but if he is out of the picture in Pochettino’s eyes and there no plans to extend his contract further, then perhaps that may increase the scope for an agreement.
Vorm has not managed to displace Hugo Lloris at Spurs, but there is certainly no shame in that. He has previously been a fantastic performer at Premier League level with Swansea City, and he could arguably do a job for Leeds as they look to get promoted to the top flight.

His experience would potentially make him the perfect stopper for Peacock-Farrell to learn from, and perhaps take the gloves back from in the future depending on how a potential move works out.
It is going to be difficult for Leeds to capture the imagination with a goalkeeper signing in January unless they break the bank. But perhaps Vorm’s seemingly-uncertain future with Spurs makes him the best option potentially available to Bielsa.
