Reine-Adelaide was left out of Arsenal’s tour of Singapore, and Leeds need players.

Jeff Reine-Adelaide has been left behind by Arsenal as the Gunners embark on their pre-season tour of Singapore, and Marcelo Bielsa must take advantage by luring him to Leeds this summer.

The 20-year-old failed to break into Unai Emery’s side and now he is likely to be told he can leave on loan this summer, or indeed on a permanent basis.

The France Under-20 international was loaned to Ligue 1 side Angers last season, and made 10 appearances in the top tier of French football. However, he will be on the lookout for a new club this summer.

It should convince Leeds to move, with Eunan O’Kane likely to be on the move after only featuring once in pre-season with the Under-23 side against Ossett United.

What might convince Bielsa to move for Adelaide over other central midfielders from the Premier League on loan or indeed permanently is that he can play in almost any position on the pitch.

Number 10, holding midfield, both flanks, both full-back roles – Reine-Adelaide offers cover. He is the kind of player that will not only boost Leeds on the pitch, but off of it too.

He might not be a starter, but in a season with 46 games excluding up matches, top-quality back-up is needed and to have a player that can play in more positions then he cannot is crucial.

It would save Leeds money in the sense that they would not have to buy two or even three players to cover the roles Reine-Adelaide can – and allow Bielsa to spend elsewhere where it is needed most, like a striker.

With his contract ending in a year, Leeds could even nab Reine-Adelaide on a permanent basis – and for a bargain fee, he would be an excellent buy.
