Leeds could do with another winger this summer under Marcelo Bielsa.

Leeds United have already signed two Chelsea players this summer but their window is far from complete, when looking at the squad. Marcelo Bielsa still requires a centre-back, left-back, winger and a striker.

Indeed, the latter is likely to be of most importance to Bielsa and Leeds after the club waved goodbye to Pierre-Michel Lasogga who returned to Hamburg after failing to replace the loss of Chris Wood.

Leeds need another Wood, a striker that can score 30 goals a season. But if Bielsa is to make his 3-3-1-3 system work, he will just as importantly need another winger to supply the striker come the start of the season.

It should convince Bielsa to return to Chelsea for a third time after completing season-long loan deals for Lewis Baker and Jamal Blackman, but instead this time, Leeds should land winger Jeremie Boga for a bargain £3.5million.

That is because Goal.com claim Serie A side Sassuolo have had a bid accepted for the one-time Ivory Coast international, said to be around the seven-figure mark after a decent spell on loan at Garry Monk’s Birmingham City last season.

Monk took over the Midlands outfit in March, and used Boga five times towards the end of the season. He showed pace and power during his spell at St. Andrews, and at £3.5million he would certainly be a bargain.

Leeds manager Gary Monk looks on prior to the Sky Bet Championship match between Queens Park Rangers and Leeds United at Loftus Road on August 7, 2016 in London, England.

Leeds have Ezgjan Alioski on the wing, while Pablo Hernandez, Samu Saiz and Stuart Dallas would be options on the other flank in the front three. But neither have the pace that Bielsa used in attack at Athletic Bilbao.

The system works well if the front three incorporates speed and the trio of Leeds stars certainly don’t have that. Indeed, Hernandez and Saiz would be better used in the ‘1’. Adding Boga alongside a striker and Alioski would give Leeds a fearsome attack.

At the bargain price, Leeds should raid Chelsea a third time but in the form of a permanent deal for Boga.
