Leeds United have been linked with one Manchester City youngster but they should focus on another.
In a recent interview with NRK, Manchester City youngster Bersant Celina admitted that he looked set to spend next season on loan at Leeds United, Bolton Wanderers or Ipswich Town, but the Whites should be bolder, focusing not on the 20-year-old but on his younger, considerably better City teammate Jadon Sancho.
Celina spent last season on loan at Dutch club FC Twente, scoring five goals and providing five assists in 28 appearances.
He hit the ground running, finding the net in each of his first three matches at the club, but he only managed two more in his next 24 outings and while he is undoubtedly talented, he is not worth Leeds’ efforts.

If they really want to sign a player on loan from City, they should go all out for 17-year-old sensation Sancho, who is one of the jewels in the Blues’ academy crown.
While Celina can play as an attacking midfielder he spent most of his time at Twente on the left wing, which is exactly where Sancho does his best work.
Leeds need more creativity and goal-threat from wide areas and Sancho has that in abundance, as his 15 goals and six assists in 22 matches for City’s under-18 side testifies.
He has also scored three and set up two more in only seven outings for the under-23s and while he is unproven at senior level, Leeds need to be brave.

Elland Road would be the perfect stage for the teenager to shine and if he plays to his full potential he could have considerably more impact at Leeds than Celina.
This is not the first time HITC has suggested Leeds make a move for Sancho, but if they are planning talks with City about another of their players, they would be wise to instead ask after the 17-year-old or risk missing out and seeing him blossom elsewhere.
