The Leeds United defender is one appearance away from triggering a clause in his loan contract and he should play this evening.
If everything goes according to plan, Leeds United should be able to officially complete another permanent signing tomorrow.
Centre-back Pontus Jansson is one first-team appearance away from reaching the magic number of 22, at which point Leeds can and hopefully will announce he will remain at Elland Road for the foreseeable future.

It has been a long time coming, or at least longer than those Leeds fans who have taken him to their heart would have wanted, but having served a two-match suspension Jansson looks set to return for Leeds’ upcoming clash.
The question is, will the announcement be swift or will Leeds fans be left waiting?

It will be another major boost to their season if Leeds come right out and state what has looked all but inevitable since Jansson took to English football like the proverbial duck to water.
Few players have so quickly understood – and been embraced by – a fan base, so let us hope that it is only a matter of hours before Jansson’s permanent transfer is officially announced.
After all, there is no need to worry about it any longer than fans have to.
