Leeds United will be hoping to secure only their second Championship win since the turn of the year.

Like Leeds, the Whites’ next opponents Sheffield Wednesday go into Saturday’s game woefully out of form with just one win since Boxing Day so Paul Heckingbottom will be feeling the pressure as he looks for only his second win since arriving at Elland Road.

Based on his team selections so far, it appears that Heckingbottom is still trying to learn about his squad and it would therefore be little surprise if the Leeds side looked fairly different once again on Saturday with one particularly notable change.

Laurens De Bock has endured a miserable start to life with Leeds. After a couple of bright early performances, the left-back’s form dipped during February and he was dropped, only to be given another chance for last weekend’s trip to Reading.

However, the Belgian was poor in the first-half particularly, so perhaps Tom Pearce should get the chance to make his first-team debut having been on the bench at the Madejski Stadium, especially with Bailey Peacock-Farrell demonstrating how well the top academy players can adapt to coming in a difficult situation.

Elsewhere, there may also be a change in central midfield with Eunan O’Kane perhaps returning to the bench to be replaced by Ronaldo Vieira. O’Kane’s form has also been extremely concerning, so Heckingbottom will be making a popular call if he brings Vieira in for the former Bournemouth man.

The final change comes up front. Caleb Ekuban struggled against Reading as he got the chance to make a rare start, so Pierre-Michel Lasogga coming back in may be a smart move as Leeds look to give their attack more of a lethal edge against the Owls.

With that in mind, here is a look at the predicted lineup in full…
