Leeds United will be hoping to follow up their win with another positive result in their penultimate game of the Championship season.

Leeds took some of the pressure off Paul Heckingbottom’s shoulders last weekend as they picked up just their third win of his tenure by beating his old club Barnsley 2-1 at Elland Road.
It has come too late to mean anything too meaningful, but does give the Whites a bit of momentum that may just help them end the campaign on a high and take a bit of positivity into next season.

Norwich are Leeds’ penultimate opponents of the season, and it could be an intriguing game given that the pair find themselves locked on the same number of points and battling for the last place inside the top-half.
While finishing in the top-half would be a small boost given Leeds’ disappointing form this year, it seems unlikely that Heckingbottom will deviate from his somewhat experimental team selections that have arguably given reason for optimism with the likes of Bailey Peacock-Farrell, Tom Pearce and Paudie O’Connor all benefiting from his willingness to make changes.

The trio may be a part of a back five that will be unchanged following the Barnsley clash. Liam Cooper made the bench last weekend but did not get on so perhaps Heckingbottom will still be keen to reintroduce the captain more gradually with little time remaining this season.
There is a change in holding midfield with Adam Forshaw returning alongside Ronaldo Vieira. The £4.5 million signing (via Yorkshire Evening Post) could replace Kalvin Phillips, who has struggled for form in recent months.
Samuel Saiz may also be demoted to the bench. His reaction to being subbed against the Tykes led to a lot of criticism, and Heckingbottom has been keen to encourage discipline, so unless that reaction was down to his own display, it would be little surprise if the head coach looked to send a message by leaving him out and bringing Caleb Ekuban back in, with Kemar Roofe dropping back into the number 10 role.
With that in mind, here is the predicted lineup in full…
