Leeds United will be hoping to keep their place at the top of the Championship following their trip to The Den.

Leeds’ preparation leading into their clash with Millwall has not been ideal, with the news that Kemar Roofe, Gaetano Berardi and Pablo Hernandez have joined Patrick Bamford on the Elland Road sidelines.
TEAMtalk reported that Berardi and Hernandez are both expected to be out for several weeks just days after it was announced that Bamford was set to miss the next four months due to a knee injury. Bielsa also confirmed that Roofe will miss this weekend’s game.
All three men will be major losses for Leeds as they have been three of Marcelo Bielsa’s best performers this term. But their absences present an opportunity for a couple of their teammates.
Jack Harrison will surely keep his place against the Lions. The on-loan winger looked bright against Middlesbrough before the break, showing some particularly nice touches, and should get another opportunity if Hernandez is missing.

Meanwhile, it should be an easy swap at centre-back for Bielsa. Pontus Jansson should come back in alongside Liam Cooper. His height should help Leeds deal with Millwall’s physicality, and the Whites fans will be hoping that they get one of those inspirational displays from the Swede.
The final change is a little bit trickier to call. You would imagine that Tyler Roberts will get the nod in Roofe’s absence, but players such as Ryan Edmondson and Sam Dalby will be hoping for an opportunity to impress, especially with Bamford’s long-term problem opening a window for his teammates.

With that in mind, here is how we expect Leeds to lineup at Millwall…
