Leeds United will be hoping to end their terrible run of form in the Championship in their next game.

If Leeds were going to pick a point in the season where they would take a 10-day break, it probably would have been in the wake of their agonising defeat to Millwall last weekend when Thomas Christiansen’s men came from 2-0 down to lead 3-2 with 10 men before conceding twice in the final minutes.

The defeat was Leeds’ fourth in their last five games, so they will be desperate to get back to winning ways when they face Hull City on Tuesday. But they will have to do it without a number of key players.

Samuel Saiz and Eunan O’Kane were joined on the suspension list by Liam Cooper and Kalvin Phillips following the Millwall defeat, while Luke Ayling and Caleb Ekuban are injured.

The game may present Adam Forshaw therefore, with the perfect opportunity to make his debut for the Whites following his January move from Middlesbrough.

With O’Kane and Phillips suspended and Mateusz Klich loaned out, Forshaw playing alongside Ronaldo Vieira appears to be the most plausible option unless Christiansen calls upon Conor Shaughnessy or Vurnon Anita.

Meanwhile, Matthew Pennington will surely replace Cooper at the heart of the defence, and Pierre-Michel Lasogga should keep his place up front after his brilliant performance against the Lions.
