The Elland Road ace has got off to a superb start for Marcelo Bielsa’s charges this term, helping the Whites to third in the table.

Leeds United midfielder Pablo Hernandez has been recognised for his bright start for the Whites this season by being named in Whoscored’s EFL Team of the Month for August.
The 34-year-old features in the football statistics site’s XI for the month just gone on the right wing after claiming two goals and two assists after six appearances in the Championship for the Elland Road side.
In addition, Whoscored notes that Hernandez is currently seventh for shots (19) and third for key passes (16) in England’s second tier for Marcelo Bielsa’s charges, currently third in the Championship table.
“A regular fixture in any Championship best XI since the start of last season, Hernandez continues to sparkle in white at the age of 34,” Whoscored said of the Whites fan favourite – who boasts an August rating of 7.56 – on their website.
Hernandez was an indispensable member of Bielsa’s side last season, weighing in with 12 goals and 12 assists – according to Transfermarkt – as Leeds came ever so close to promotion from the Championship.
He joined Leeds initially on a six-month loan from Qatari club Al-Arabi in August 2016 and has impressed so much for the Elland Road side over the years that he is now on a contract until 2020 (Transfermarkt).
