Leeds United’s Tom Pearce opened his account for loan side Scunthorpe United on Tuesday.

On-loan Leeds United defender Tom Pearce has hinted that he might’ve been the beneficiary of some very good luck on Tuesday.
Pearce, who joined Scunthorpe United on loan from Leeds in January, equalised for the League One side in last night’s 4-1 win over Southend United.
The left-back struck the ball from outside and it wound up flying over the head of goalkeeper Nathan Bishop.
Footage of the goal has since surfaced on Twitter and it looks very possible that the 20-year-old actually intended to cross the ball – something that Pearce himself hinted at on social media.
Nevertheless, they all count and here’s how Scunthorpe fans responded to Peace on Twitter:
Pearce has started five League One outings for the Iron this season and it’ll be interesting to see if he can stay with Marcelo Bielsa’s senior side next season, though the hope is that Leeds will be a Premier League team by then.
The Whites are top of the Championship as things stand, though Norwich City will go above them tonight if they beat Hull City at home.
