Leeds United have really attempted to build up their developmental ranks in recent years, with some exciting additions brought in.
The summer of 2017 was rife for this kind of recruitment, though it’s fair to say that the Whites didn’t exactly get much success out of the strategy.
The likes of Madger Gomes, Adrian Balboa, Hugo Diaz, Ousama Siddiki, Oliver Sarkic and Sam Dalby all came in for the development side of the club, with none of them at the club now.
Pascal Struijk looks like being the major success story of that recruitment having impressed in the Premier League, but what about Kun Temenuzhkov?
There was real excitement surrounding Temenuzhkov when he joined Leeds; he had been on the books at Barcelona and was compared to Luis Suarez in 2017, leaving fans to think they had signed a star.
So far though, the Bulgarian has made just one first-team appearance for Leeds, and is currently on loan at Real Union in the third tier of Spanish football.

At 21, Temenuzhkov needs to kick on soon if he is to make an impression at Leeds, and he has taken to Twitter to show off his latest goal for Real Union.
Temenuzhkov scored in a 4-1 win over Laredo on Sunday, and took to Twitter last night to share a clip of the goal, a fine header inside the box after some neat footwork in the build-up.
Leeds may hope to see some of this quality in their first team one day, but Spain’s third tier to the Premier League is a staggering step up.
