Leeds United youngster Mallik Wilks didn’t do well at the weekend.

Leeds United youngster Mallik Wilks would be wise not to search his name on Twitter at the moment.

The 20-year-old attacker, who re-signed for Doncaster on loan from Leeds earlier this month, seems to have had a bit of a shocker in Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Burton Albion.

Rovers boss Grant McCann hauled him off at half-time after Wilks endured a difficult first 45 minutes at the Keepmoat Stadium.

It’s been an otherwise good season for Wilks, who has nine goals and six assists for the League One side across all competitions.

But Doncaster fans weren’t happy with the highly-rated Leeds ace this past weekend it seems:

It’s a very important second half of the season for Wilks, who has 27 minutes of first-team football under his belt for Leeds in total.

If he puts this performance behind him and dazzles from here on in then Wilks returns to Thorp Arch with the hope of impressing Marcelo Bielsa this summer, a coach who has proven plenty of times this season that he will trust you in the senior side if you’re good enough.

Is he good enough? Well that’s for him to prove.
