Leeds United-owned Caleb Ekuban isn’t pulling up any trees in Egypt.

It hasn’t been a brilliant Africa Cup of Nations for Leeds United’s Caleb Ekuban so far.
Ghana beat Guinea-Bissau 2-0 in the Egyptian city of Suez last night to ensure that they progress into the latter stages of the competition as Group F winners.
But it’s fair to say that the Leeds-owned striker has played a very minimal role in what’s been an excellent campaign for the Black Stars overall.
Ekuban, who spent last season on loan with Trabzonspor in Turkey, earned a seven-minute cameo yesterday for what was his only appearance in the competition up until this point.
The 25-year-old, who was born in Italy, scored on his debut for Ghana back in March and he might be slightly disappointed not to have played more of a role so far.
He’ll hope for a bit more involvement on Monday when James Kwesi Appiah’s side face Tunisia in the last 16.
Ekuban, who signed for Leeds for £500,000 two years ago [Yorkshire Evening Post], will miss pre-season for whatever club he’ll be at soon if Ghana reach the final, which takes place on July 19, but he might be a Trabzonspor player by then.
According to Sabah, the Whites attacker will join the Turkish side on a permanent basis, though confirmation of the transfer from United’s side hasn’t come through as of yet.
He scored just once in 20 Championship appearances during the 2017-18 campaign.
