Leeds United have three goalkeepers on their books currently, but Thomas Christiansen is seemingly yet to decide who his number one goalkeeper will be.

Thomas Christiansen has hinted that he is still yet to make up his mind as to who will be Leeds’ number one goalkeeper next season, the Yorkshire Evening Post reports.

Christiansen has three senior stoppers to pick from with last season’s undisputed number one Rob Green and his understudy Marco Silvestri being joined by summer signing Felix Wiedwald.

And while the fact that Wiedwald is the one that has been signed during Christiansen’s tenure would surely make it understandable to expect the German to be the first-choice during the coming campaign, the Whites boss has seemingly suggested that that role is still up for grabs – and all three are in the running.

“Right now I have three goalkeepers. I came with them all and the friendly games and the training sessions will tell us who will be first in goal,” he said, as reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post.

Though Christiansen has failed to rule any of the trio out of being number one, it would perhaps be the greatest surprise if Silvestri took the spot given that his time with Leeds has been fairly mixed.

However, it is surely much more difficult to separate Green and Wiedwald due to the fact that the former was superb for much of last season, while the latter’s arrival this summer certainly hints that he features in the plans – especially as many fans may have been happy had the goalkeeping department remained the same as last term, and signing a stopper to simply add depth would make little sense.
