Leeds United are reportedly open to selling Illan Meslier, a player Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea have been linked with.
According to The Athletic, Leeds United are ready to cash in on Illan Meslier in the summer transfer window.
The report has claimed that French goalkeeper Meslier is a player Leeds “expect to sell in this window”.
The West Yorkshire club will play in the Championship next season after getting relegated from the Premier League.
The Athletic has reported that “Leeds are of the view that a change of scene might be good for Meslier after two tough seasons playing behind their leaky defence”.
The Times reported in June that Chelsea are interested in Meslier and have monitored the 23-year-old.
The goalkeeper himself said last month that he could leave Leeds and move to Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
Potential Illan Meslier boost for Chelsea in pursuit of Leeds United star
In our opinion, Chelsea could be able to sign Illan Meslier from Leeds United in the summer transfer window.
Leeds being willing to cash in on the goalkeeper will encourage the Chelsea bosses.

At least the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners would be able to get Leeds to the negotiating table.
Chelsea have already sold Edouard Mendy in the summer transfer window, so Kepa Arrizabalaga is now the clear number one goalkeeper for the Blues.
Marcus Bettinelli and Gabriel Slonina are the other two options between the posts for Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Kepa has made mistakes from time to time, so Meslier could fancy his chances of going to Chelsea and replacing the Spaniard in the team.
Meslier has made 107 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
The 23-year-old French goalkeeper has kept 21 clean sheets in those games.
