Leeds United confirmed the signing of Barcelona talent Rafa Mujica this week.

Mujica is expected to kick off with Leeds’ under-23 team.

He is excited though about the chance to work with esteemed Leeds first team boss Marcelo Bielsa.

Mujica spoke to Marca about the move once the switch was confirmed.

He said: “My dream was always to make the jump to English football and it is a great challenge and a pride to be linked to a big and historic club like Leeds, in addition to be able to work under the orders of a prestigious technician from Bielsa.”

While Mujica will go into the under-23s, impressive form there could put him into the first team reckoning.

His comments underline how Marcelo Bielsa is an asset for the club in terms of attracting players.

Leeds also snapped up another youngster from Barcelona yesterday, signing under-18 talent Guille Amor.

They follow Kun Temenuzkhov and Oriol Rey who signed for Leeds from Barcelona in 2017.
