West Bromwich Albion reportedly confirming their Kyle Bartley interest should be all the motivation Leeds United need to get involved.

While Kyle Bartley is a player that has been on most Leeds fans’ shopping lists for around a year, the Elland Road faithful’s desire to see him return has increased since April when the Yorkshire Evening Post reported that the Whites were keen on re-signing their former loanee.
However, with Bartley still a Swansea player, it would appear that a potential deal has not progressed as well as the club would have liked for whatever reason.
And with The Sun on Sunday (08/07; page 61) now suggesting that the Baggies have now made a bid for Bartley, it is surely time for Leeds to confirm their interest with a substantial offer of their own.
West Brom have reportedly shown their intent by making an offer, so it would appear that it may not be too long before Bartley’s future is resolved one way or the other – and that should persuade Leeds to now focus their attention for the time-being on getting the centre-back through the door.

Leeds have so far enjoyed a very quiet start to the window in terms of incomings with Lewis Baker the only player to have been signed since Marcelo Bielsa’s appointment, but getting Bartley back into the ranks would unquestionably make up for that.
And with West Brom now making a bid, Leeds surely have all the motivation they could possibly need to step up their own interest as soon as possible.
