Leeds United losing to Cardiff on Saturday was concerning for fans in itself. The poor performance made it even worse.
Leeds’ most important player over the weeks ahead is striker Patrick Bamford.
Loan signing Jean-Kevin Augustin is injured, again, and did not even make the bench. So Leeds need Bamford to perform.
On Sunday he did not deliver, and fluffed his lines when he got the ball inside the six yard box.
Across the 90 minutes Bamford barely got a kick. Just 22 touches in total.
It was not all down to him. Experienced attacker Pablo Hernandez is also out injured and Leeds missed his creativity.
Bamford needs service, and to that end, Leeds let him down. He did not help though, looking lacklustre when he did get a sniff of goal. Both of his shots were off target.

The former Chelsea and Middlesbrough man has games like this. Sometimes two or three in a row, and then he will pop up with a matchwinning brace in the next one.
Leeds need a bit more consistency out of him, especially with a lack of viable alternatives.
Another defeat and the pressure will be on the Whites. Bamford needs to show he can cope.
