Leeds United were linked with a move for Bradley Dack during the January transfer window, so should consider keeping him on their radar.

According to a report from The Sun (print edition; 22nd January 2018; page 51), Leeds were among the host of Championship clubs keeping a keen eye on Bradley Dack during last month’s window as he continued to impress for Blackburn Rovers.

Dack is high-flying Rovers’ top goalscorer this season, so it was little surprise that several second tier sides were having a look at the attacking midfielder as they geared up for the business end of the campaign.

But while Leeds did not manage to get a deal done in January, they should surely continue to monitor the 24-year-old after he scored a brace on Tuesday night as Blackburn strolled to an emphatic 3-0 win over AFC Wimbledon.

Dack showed all of his class in the win, with his first goal coming from a flawlessly-weighted looping header at the back post. Wimbledon felt that they had managed to clear the ball off the line, but the officials ultimately gave the goal.

And the former Gillingham man would round off the win with just over 20 minutes to go as his clever run meant that he got to Danny Graham’s cross first, and he showed the composure of the most in-form striker to somewhat audaciously chip the ball over the goalkeeper with the outside of his right boot.

Apart from the quality that he showed with both goals, the brace should attract Leeds’ attention as they take his tally to the season to 14 strikes – which already makes this term Dack’s best return of his league career, surpassing his previous best of 13, and there are still 11 games of the regular season still to play.

It seems unlikely that it will be any easy pursuit for any team that wishes to sign Dack in the summer, but Leeds should arguably make sure that they are in the race as they look to develop the squad that has shown plenty of promise at various time this season.
