Leeds United should challenge Celtic for the Newcastle United ace.

The honeymoon period for Leeds United’s Kiko Casilla is well and truly over.
The Spanish goalkeeper, who joined Leeds in January, had a horrific night at Elland Road on Wednesday.
Casilla made a number of errors – one of which resulted in a goal – as United lost their playoff semi-final to Derby County and consigned themselves to Championship football for another year.
Yes, he might have won the Champions League about nine times (three, actually) but it doesn’t mean that Casilla is a safe goalkeeper for the Whites next term.
If he stays in West Yorkshire, Marcelo Bielsa would be wise to sign another stopper this summer and why not Karl Darlow?
According to The Chronicle, Celtic want to sign the Newcastle United ace, who helped the Magpies to Premier League promotion in 2017.
But the reported Celtic target hasn’t made a Premier League appearance for Newcastle in almost 18 months and therefore it looks like he has no future under Rafael Benitez.
At 28, Darlow, valued at £3 million by the St James’s Park club [The Chronicle], still has a lot of good years left in him, and there’s no reason why Leeds shouldn’t challenge Celtic for him.
He is a good keeper, cheap and experienced in the Championship. It’s a no-brainer.
