Leeds were linked with a move for Liverpool midfielder Chirivella last month.

Leeds United are yet to properly make their mark in the transfer window this summer, but Marcelo Bielsa’s new side have been linked with a whole host of names – one of those being Liverpool’s Pedro Chirivella.
Goal claimed Leeds are just one of a number of Championship sides interested in signing the Spain youth international this summer, after impressing on loan with Dutch Eredivisie side Willem II last season.
He made 31 top-flight appearances for the Dutch side in holding midfield, helping Willem avoid relegation by finishing in a comfortable 13th place.
Leeds could be after a central midfielder after the Yorkshire Evening Post claim 28-year-old Eunan O’Kane has been placed on the transfer list, along with Caleb Ekuban, Marcus Antonsson, Hadi Sacko and Luke Murphy.
However, Bielsa should completely avoid the Spaniard following his monumental error during a cameo role as Liverpool beat Tranmere Rovers 3-2 at Prenton Park on Tuesday night.
Chirivella’s appalling pass to James Milner at the back allowed triallist Amadou Soukouna to race on finish superbly past Loris Karius in the Liverpool goal.

Regarded as a ball-playing midfielder, the lapse in concentration showed signs of serious inexperience and a flaw in his decision making, and it should convince Bielsa to look elsewhere if the Argentine wants a new midfielder.
Despite making five senior appearances for Liverpool, Leeds should avoid Chirivella and bring in a midfielder with more experience and proven quality to finally push them towards promotion from the Championship.
