Leeds United clearly mean business.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side are less than a week away from kicking off their long-awaited Premier League return and Victor Orta, their Director of Football, has been very busy.

So far, Leeds have broken their transfer record in a £30 million deal for Spanish attacker Rodrigo, and also spent a combined £28 million in signing Robin Koch and Helder Costa, the latter of whom spent last season on loan at Elland Road.

United are evidently aware that the key to staying in the Premier League is speculating to accumulate – and they aren’t finished yet.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed early on Saturday morning that Leeds were very close to reaching an agreement with Dinamo Zagreb to sign Josko Gvardiol, while talks over signing Rodrigo De Paul remain active and ongoing.

Yep, the West Yorkshire outfit, absent from the big time since 2004, aren’t shy when it comes to splashing the cash this summer – and suffice to say that some neutral fans on Twitter are impressed by their ambition.

Bielsa’s side take on Premier League champions Liverpool at Anfield next week and it’ll be fascinating to see how a new-look Leeds side will fare against one of the best in Europe right now.
