Leeds United may have missed out on Noel Tornqvist.

Back in November, Leeds United took Swedish goalkeeper Noel Tornqvist on trial, in the hope of showing the teenager what his future holds if he joins the club.
The IS Halmia youngster, 15, has earned a burgeoning reputation in Sweden, and Leeds – who already have Pontus Jansson and Pawel Cibicki on the books – were hoping to add another Swede to their ranks.
Tornqvist’s trial ended without a deal being struck though, and Leeds may now feel that they have missed their chance to sign the teenager.

Agent Liridon Kelmendi has told 24Halmstad that Leeds did make a move for the goalkeeper, but the offer wasn’t ‘interesting enough’ for the goalkeeper to move on.
Kelmendi, speaking last month, added that others club such as Sampdoria, Atletico Madrid and Valencia are all looking to rival Leeds for Tornqvist’s signature.
In fact, Tornqvist started a trial with Sampdoria on Tuesday, and will stay until Saturday as they assess whether he is worth pursuing on a permanent basis this summer.
With major Italian and Spanish clubs now interested, Leeds may have just missed their opportunity to land Tornqvist, as his agent seemingly sees ‘bigger’ clubs than the Whites coming in for his client.
