Patrick Bamford’s goalscoring woes are spilling over and affecting his Leeds United teammates.

It’s no secret that Leeds United hitman Patrick Bamford is in a rough patch right now.
Bamford hasn’t found the net for United since August and is now nine Championship games without a goal for Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
Thing is, other Leeds players are majorly affected by his misfiring spell, too.
That’s because Mateusz Klich, a £1.5 million signing in 2017 [Yorkshire Evening Post], has created no fewer than 32 chances for Leeds so far this season and how many assists does he have? Just the one, and that came for a Pablo Hernandez goal.
Klich, who only has one goal himself, isn’t considered to be having a great season for the Whites so far and you do wonder how much better it would or could be if a ruthless striker was on the end of all these chances that he seemingly creates.
It isn’t clear how many of those chances fell to the feet of Bamford but, being the most advanced player on the pitch, it’s fair to assume quite a few of them did, and yet the fact he hasn’t scored since August really does paint a picture of Leeds’ problems in the final third right now.
We should also point out that United’s goalscoring woes might extend beyond Bamford, because last season, when he was injured for large chunks of it, there was still a real lack of killer instinct from Bielsa’s troops up front.
But Bamford has exacerbated a serious underlying issue here. Just ask Klich.
