Leeds are on course for record season ticket sales.
It has been a big week for Leeds United, and managing director Angus Kinnear believes it is just the start.
Speaking after the club bought back stadium Elland Road, Kinnear declared the club on course for record season ticket sales since they have been outside the top flight.
He also had a message for fans who had fallen out of love with the club over the past few years… ‘come back’.
Elland Road
Kinnear told BBC Radio Leeds: “Supporters disillusioned over past five or six years, now is time for them to come back and get behind the team.
“We have made a record number of season ticket sales in [comparison to] 10 years and are very close to the record number of any season we have been in the Championship, so I’d like it if all those fans could come back and be the 12th man.”
Leeds United fans
More than at any point since Leeds have been outside the top flight, supporters have a club on firm financial footing, thanks to new owner Andrea Radrizzani.
The Whites have been through the wringer over the past decade and then some, and while they remain outside the top flight, there is a firm belief that they are now embarking on a journey that sooner rather than later will lead to promotion back to the Premier League after an extended hiatus.
