Manchester United and Nottingham Forest may have turned down the chance to sign Dominik Livakovic, but it seems that Leeds United have learned from their ‘mistake’ and are smart enough to make a move for Croatia’s 2022 Qatar World Cup star already.
Earlier today, The Athletic reported that Manchester United, Leicester City and Nottingham Forest all had the chance to sign Livakovic from Dinamo Zagreb in the summer of 2022.
While Manchester United decided to bring in Martin Dubravka on loan from Newcastle United, Forest decided to sign Dean Henderson on loan from the Red Devils because they wanted ‘a more high-profile player’.
Livakovic was offered to Leicester as well, but the former Premier League champions opted for Alex Smithies instead.
Leeds United want Dominik Livakovic

And now Leeds have been linked.
According to MediaFoot, Leeds have made contact with the Stellar agency and have enquired about a potential transfer for the 27-year-old.
Livakovic will cost €10 million (£8.59 million) in transfer fees.
Leeds are looking at the Croatian star as a potential replacement for Illian Meslier.
Meslier is the number one goalkeeper at Elland Road, but Manchester United and Chelsea are interested in the Frenchman and could make a move for him in the summer of 2023.
Livakovic has been superb for Croatia at the 2022 Qatar World Cup and could end up winning the competition.
The Dinamo Zagreb goalkeeper saved three penalties in the shootout against Japan and also denied Real Madrid star Rodrygo in the match against Brazil.
For €10 million (£8.59 million), Leeds could get a really good goalkepeer.
