Haaland is the son of former Leeds defender Alf Inge Haaland and at 17 is one of Europe’s most promising young strikers, and went onto score a second later in the game.
Cibicki was making his fourth appearance of his loan spell and second start as he looks to bounce back from a disappointing debut season at Leeds.
He was selected just seven times all season in the Championship, providing two assists.
Last night he may not have scored either, but he played his part and helped ensure his loan club’s Europa League adventure continues, at Hibs’ expense.
