Leeds United have been linked with Peterborough United’s Jack Marriott in 2018.

Steve Evans is on the move again, as on Wednesday he was confirmed as the new manager of League One side Peterborough United, replacing Grant McCann in the hot seat.
Evans, 55, had been impressing in League Two with Mansfield Town, turning the Stags into play-off contenders in his first full season in the Field Mill job – but he made the surprise decision to resign on Tuesday.
By Wednesday night, it became clear just why Evans decided to move on, as he was being lined up to become the new Peterborough boss, with a deal secured quickly.

Evans will now look to get the Posh into play-off contention in League One before the end of the season, and his former club Leeds United may be taking a close look at Peterborough’s performances over the next two months.
Evans spent seven months in charge of Leeds after Uwe Rosler’s exit in October 2015, and the Whites should be paying close attention to the Scot’s fortunes given their alleged interest in Jack Marriott.
The Express claim that Leeds have been tracking Marriott, and would be interested in snapping him up, though offers in excess of £6million would be required to prise Marriott away from the Posh.

Marriott, 23, has hit 25 goals in 46 games for Peterborough this season following a move from Luton Town last summer, and given that Leeds may be in the market for a new striker this summer whether Pierre-Michel Lasogga stays or not, Marriott figures to still be on their wish list.
A pacy, diminutive striker who would work well off Lasogga, Marriott looks to have a bright future ahead of him – and Leeds should now be taking a keen interest in Evans’ new club as they potentially look to raid them this summer.
