Time is running out for Leeds to sign Aleksandar Prijovic, but do they have an opportunity?

Aleksandar Prijovic’s exit from PAOK to Rennes is not going smoothly – potentially still allowing Leeds United to move in.
Prijovic has reportedly agreed terms to move to the French club, but this has not been well received in Greece.
Prijovic’s situation is making news in Poland as former club Legia Warsaw are due a cut of a sell on fee.

Rennes’ offer of 2.5 million Euros was rejected outright by PAOK, who made clear they did not wish to sell the striker for one quarter of his release clause.
Serbia international Prijovic is PAOK’s top scorer with 14 goals.
Leeds still need a striker, and the way Rennes have gone about trying to sign him presents the Whites with an opportunity.
If they can submit a higher offer then PAOK may think about accepting it, with Rennes low ball bid and contract offer causing problems.
It would take decisive action from the Whites, but Prijovic’s goal record of more than 60 over the past three seasons suggests he would be worth it.
