Leeds United were linked with Steven Zuber in January.

Leeds United fans may now feel that, having missed out on promotion to the Premier League, their lack of January business may have left them short of quality.
The Whites only brought in Kiko Casilla and youngster Mateusz Bogusz, and whilst a deal for Daniel James was all set up before falling through, Leeds just lacked that extra spark for the run-in.
Leeds were linked with a host of players in January yet just didn’t sign them, and Bild reported that Leeds were majorly interested in luring Hoffenheim’s Steven Zuber to Elland Road.
Zuber joined Stuttgart on loan instead, and having hit five goals in 13 games for the Bundesliga strugglers, he’s returning to Hoffenheim as a wanted man.
Tuttomercatoweb report that Lazio, Roma and West Ham United are keen on Zuber, and the rumours about Roma are particularly interesting given rumours about Marcelo Bielsa’s future.
Gianluca Di Marzio reported yesterday that Roma want to lure Bielsa away from Elland Road, as they look to secure a long-term replacement for Eusebio Di Francesco, having brought in Claudio Ranieri on an interim basis.

Bielsa may subsequently finally have the chance to work with Zuber, having missed out on his signature at Leeds just a matter of months ago.
Leeds will hope that Bielsa stays at Elland Road, and that currently looks more likely than him moving on. Yet if he does end up at Roma, Leeds fans may well see him working with January target Zuber in a strange twist of fate.
