Club Brugge ace Tajon Buchanan has opened the door to a potential summer switch to Leeds United by indicating that he would be keen to seize a Premier League chance, speaking to Canadian publication The Sports Network.
After catching the eye at the Qatar World Cup, Watford paid a seven-figure sum to take Ismael Kone away from CF Montreal. Alistair Johnston joined his former team-mate in heading across the Atlantic; arriving at Celtic as a replacement for the Bundesliga-bound Josip Juranovic.
Buchanan, then, could soon become the third member of Canada’s World Cup squad to earn a big move off the back of some impressive displays in the Middle East.

Leeds United, Calciomercato say, are keen on a man who has enjoyed an ‘amazing’ rise from playing university football as recently as 2018. Leeds will face competition from Inter Milan; the Serie A giants holding initial talks with Buchanan’s camp.
Leeds United and Inter Milan like Tajon Buchanan
The Ontario-born wideman has repesented Club Brugge in the Champions League this season. But, when pressed on his future, Buchanan admitted that the chance to test himself against the best week-in, week-out appeals.
“As a child, I always dreamed of playing for one of the best teams in a top league. Hopefully, I will get the chance,” Buchanan explains.
“It’s nice to read (about) the rumours. Everyone knows that I came to Belgium as an intermediate step in my career. I would like to take that next step. But now, I focus first on the present.”
Calciomercato believe that Buchanan could be available for just £25 million. A fee that may not put Leeds off, providing Javi Gracia can keep them in the Premier League. Inter Milan, meanwhile, see Buchanan as a replacement for Denzel Dumfries; the former PSV captain suffering an ‘incredible decline’ in recent months.
Buchanan, who has one goal and six assists for Club Brugge this term, has impressed as a wing-back in Belgium but does his best work at international level as an out-and-out attacker.
