The Whites defender, on loan at the Stadium of Light from Elland Road, continues to impress for the Black Cats.

A number of Sunderland fans have taken to Twitter to comment on their team’s performance today and Leeds United loanee Laurens De Bock was once again praised for a solid display for the Black Cats.
The full-back left Elland Road on transfer deadline day this summer to link up with Sunderland on a season-long loan, having only made only seven appearances for the Whites since joining in January 2018 from Club Brugge, for whom he played more than 100 times (BBC Sport).
De Bock needed a little time to get back up to scratch but he has passed every one of his tests so far, first turning out for the Stadium of Light Under-23s against Middlesbrough and earning positive feedback by the Sunderland Echo, then impressing in the 1-0 win away at Sheffield United in the League Cup – his senior debut.
On Saturday, Sunderland ran out 2-1 winners over MK Dons in League One and the Whites loanee was composed and assured on his home debut, once again looking a great addition to Jack Ross’ side, and almost notched himself an assist too when his cross was met by Luke O’Nien, who rattled the woodwork, before being eventually subbed off.
Here is what some Black Cats supporters said about the Belgian’s performance at the Stadium of Light:
First-half goals from Max Power and Luke O’Nien helped Sunderland establish a lead they would not relinquish, though they didn’t make things that easy for themselves as Jordan Bowery’s scrambled effort shortly before the hour halved the deficit.
