Leeds United are beginning to look like genuine promotion contenders under Garry Monk.

Leeds United centre-back Pontus Jansson sat down for a series of questions with SkyBet’s live Q&A, and explained how he does not want take all the praise for his side’s resurgence in form.
Garry Monk’s men began their campaign in abysmal fashion, picking up just one point from their opening three games.
A resurgence in form, however, has led to them sitting comfortably in 10th position in the Championship table, after picking up six wins and a draw in their last 11 outings, and they find themselves just three points outside the play-off places.
The 25-year-old Sweden international, who joined the club on a season-long loan in August, discussed Leeds’ fine run of form when speaking at a SkyBet Q&A session, highlighting how every single member of the team deserves credit:

“I don’t want to talk about only me, it was the whole defence, all the four. Not just me and Kyle, also the full-backs are important, also the midfielders. I think the whole team defend together and the whole team attack together. Since I came, we have conceded five goals in 10 games, it’s a good statistic. But it’s not just about me and Kyle, it’s about the whole team and how the coach wants us to defend.”

The Whites face Burton Albion tomorrow at Elland Road before a difficult looking set of fixtures including a trip to Carrow Road to take on fourth-placed Norwich City, before a visit from league leaders Newcastle United.
With Jansson and the rest of the Leeds defence looking so solid though, there should be go game that Monk’s men should be afraid of.
It seems as though exciting times are ahead for Leeds fans.
