Manchester United goalkeeper Sam Johnstone is on loan at Aston Villa.

Sam Johnstone has impressed on loan at Aston Villa this season but questions remain over his future.
No permanent deal has yet been struck with Manchester United, despite the Red Devils’ healthy options in goal, with Johnstone fourth choice behind David de Gea, Sergio Romero and Joel Pereira.
The Express reported that Villa are desperate to sign him permanently, and while they have the advantage, they should not be the only club keen.
Leeds United need a new goalkeeper with summer additions Felix Wiedwald and Andy Lonergan both dropping match costing clangers so far, derailing the club’s start to the campaign.

The goalkeeper’s future will be determined whether Villa can strike a deal with Manchester United, and Leeds should attempt to complicate matters.
If they can offer the Red Devils a better financial package then Villa could lose their man at the end of the season. Once impossible, Leeds have money to spend after cashing in on Chris Wood in August.
Johnstone is currently on a season long loan at Villa, and Leeds may have to wait until the end of the campaign to challenge. Whether they can wait that long and stick with Wiedwald and Lonergan until then is another matter.
