Leeds icon Ian Harte has expressed his shock at being excluded from a list of the 30 greatest free-kick takers of all time.
The Irishman took to Twitter to write: ‘Can’t believe I’m not on the list’ along with a few emojis to reinforce his bafflement.
Harte made a massive 272 appearances for Leeds throughout his career, far more than he recorded at any other club – his next most-appeared for side was Reading, making 99 outings for the Royals.
The now-retired Drogheda born man has every right to be baffled by his exclusion.
According to Transfermarkt, Harte scored 12 direct free-kicks during his career, including set-piece strikes against Anderlecht and Deportivo La Coruna in the Champions League for Leeds.

He also bagged a free-kick for the Yorkshire-based outfit against Arsenal in Premier League action.
In total, the 43-year-old scored 76 goals and registered 37 assists throughout his career, which is a fine return for a player who spent his time playing at left-back.
Additionally, he even managed to net 12 goals in 65 outings for his country, the Republic of Ireland. For a defender, that is excellent going.

Harte possessed a wand of a left foot and was arguably one of the best technicians the Elland Road faithful will ever see wearing the famous white shirt.
He has every right to be shocked at his exclusion from the list.
