Leeds United and Brighton and Hove Albion have been linked with James Justin of Luton Town in the January transfer window.
James Justin is a very talented and promising young versatile footballer who can operate as a defender or as a midfielder, and there is little surprise that Leeds United have been linked with a move for the 19-year-old Luton Town star.
Leeds have signed some very good and talented young players for their Under-23 team in the January transfer window, such as Sam Dalby and Aapo Halme, and The Argus recently credited the Championship club with interest in 19-year-old right-back Justin.
The Argus also claimed of Premier League club Brighton and Hove Albion’s interest in the Luton youngster.
Justin would be a good signing for Leeds, but The Sun has now claimed that it is Brighton who have won the race for the signature of the youngster.
The British tabloid has reported that the Seagulls are set to sign the 19-year-old after their offer of £1.5 million was accepted by League Two club Luton.
Given that Brighton are in the Premier League, it is obvious that they have more money than Leeds, but perhaps the Whites should have tried harder for the young right-back, especially if the transfer fee is just £1.5m.
