Rangers great turned pundit, Mark Hateley, has admitted on the Ten10 podcast that he is expecting Leeds United to make a move for Rangers’ Ryan Kent again this summer.

Leeds have been long term admirers of Kent, and the Daily Record suggests that Marcelo Bielsa’s men are keen again now.

Kent has shown his game changing ability at Rangers, where he has become a key member of Steven Gerrard’s title winning side.

And Hateley has no doubts that Kent could make a similar impact with Leeds in the Premier League, if they were to land him.

“Listen, Leeds have got him on their radar right, they have twice come in for him,” he said.

“They will be hoping it’s third time lucky.

“They have done well down in the English Premier League.

“They know what they need, they need somebody that can open something up in the blink of an eye, Kent is the boy that can do that.

“You pay £20m to stick somebody on the bench down in the English Premier League, that is the way it is.

“Kent has got this ability to turn a game in the blink of an eye.”

For Leeds to sign Kent may be easier said than done, though.

Rangers will surely want to keep hold of their most creative attacker, especially after their success this term.

Kent could be an ideal fit for Leeds, as Marcelo Bielsa always allows his forward players great attacking freedom.

But his value has only risen this season, and Leeds may have to spend a sizeable fee to have any chance of signing the wide-man.
