Lasogga failed to provide any kind of impact at Leeds.

Elland Road was not a happy hunting ground for Pierre-Michel Lasogga during his time at Leeds United, where he managed only 10 goals during a loan spell from German side Hamburger SV.
Two of those goals came in his Championship debut against Burton Albion, but failed to reignite the kind of form that saw Leeds bring him to Yorkshire on a season-long loan.
By the end of the season, the powerful striker had been ostracised by Paul Heckingbottom, with another Leeds flop – Caleb Ekuban – being preferred to the German.
With no chance of a permanent deal, Lasogga was returned to Hamburg at the end of his loan after the German outfit was relegated to the second tier of Bundesliga football.
A Thomas Christiansen signing, £50,000-a-week (Yorkshire Evening Post) Lasogga has since been labelled as a flop as he failed to emulate the goalscoring feats of Chris Wood – who scored 30 the previous season.
But it has seemed to help Lasogga rediscover his shooting boots. The target man has scored nine goals in 12 league and cup outings, including a brace on Tuesday night in the German Cup against SV Wesen Wiedbahen.

Alongside former Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham star Lewis Holtby, as well as Scottish defender David Bates, Lasogga has helped Hamburg re-emerge and look to challenge for an immediate promotion.
The German outfit currently sits in second, with 21 points from 11 games and only behind on goal difference to Koln. It seems that Leeds was simply not the club for Lasogga, whereas German football is.
